His name is Christopher Butts and he's a well known plagiarizer. There's a
reason that the MVPs block his site and that's because they have good reason
because of his antics. He's certainly not, nor has he ever been, an MVP.
That's why you won't find him posting in the Microsoft newsgroups.

He is a code thief. Many have caught him with stolen/plagiarized code.
I've caught him with two myself: his hosts file, in which he forgot to
remove the real author's name from the last line, and the
silentrunners.org utility, in which he changed that author's name and

entire file was identical).

I've been reading this newsgroup for years but have recently started
posting here. I have been in this newsgroup long enough to know when
you top post and use the --space that everything after that is gone so
I'll add that back for you.

I'm sorry but I can't trust anyone or their software if they don't use
their real name. Granted, I'm not using my real name but I'm not in this
newsgroup touting my software.

If I was in this newsgroup to tout my software then I'd sure be using my
real name and I'd be proud to tell people my real name so they could
verify my status as a MVP. Again, it's your choice to remain anonymous
but that seems a little dishonest to me.

Read along with me, I've already told you that the only blog I can find
with your name in it is blocked by my MVPS HOSTS file. So you don't have
to scroll down I'll paste it here:

So I can't go there to see your picture.

One other thing, I see Mr. Shagnasty has replied in this thread and said
some pretty bad things about you. I've seen Mr. Shagnasty's posts across
a variety of newsgroups and nobody has ever questioned his integrity. He
appears to be a very honest man.

I also see a reply from --Fitz-- who says "you wont find him"(in
reference to your names) "posting in the Microsoft newsgroups".

I also post in Microsoft newsgroups, specifically in the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics newsgroup. I've never seen your names
in that newsgroup. Is there a reason for that? Think you could post a
little something in that newsgroup using either The Real Truth MVP or
pcbutts1?

At this point, it looks like I won't be able to take a look at your
software. Again, no pi$$ing match.

Let me put this to you another way. Would you download and install
software from a person who posts in this newsgroup with the return
address as JD@example.invalid? Even if I put a MVP on the end of it?

Thanx to a change in the news server administration being outsourced, he is allowed to
again post on the MS News server and is not using his usual Sock Puppets.

However, he's changed his 'nym several times and the REAL Microsoft MVPs are raking him
