    Another Spybot question

Thanks for the help on disableing TeaTimer.

I just installed Spybot ver 1.6.0.31 on a computer running WinXP Pro.

How do I stop the Hints from coming up when I start a search. I can't
find the place to turn it off.

    Thanks

I take it you are referring to Hint of the Day: Click the bar at the
right of this to see more information! ?

I don't know that you can turn it off.

But it is not exactly obtrusive or anything?

When I click on that bar it just moves right and left and I don't get
any more information. It's always the same "Hint", and its is
obtrusive to me. It was never in any of the prior versions of SpyBot.

I still would like to see it turned off. Thanks anyway.

I FINALLY found what on earth you are talking about. That is not what I
    would call a major problem!!

Right click on the blue button on the left of the Hint and tell it to go
away....can't remember the exact wording. I just tried that, and it
disappeared. As to whether it will come back the next time I open
Spybot, I have no idea. But it is quite easy to get rid of. Or ignore.

It's under right click/more options/clear list. Been there done that
and it comes back the next time you start up SpyBot.

OK, yes it comes back, but in the grand scheme of things, it is
nothing.....nada. Just ignore it. Hide the screen while it is running.
IOW, don't sweat the small stuff. (G)
