    Interesting

I've cleaned up two computers with the Antivirus XP 2008 thing on it now
using the Anti-Malware by MalwareBytes. In both cases I had left the room
and when I came back I saw the Windows XP logo with the little bar going
across at the bottom and then all of a sudden the blue screen of death.
Both times I hit the space bar and the screen went away and the Anti-
Malware app was still running. Pretty clever for a bunch of *******s.

Yes, with 'advice' given to activate antivirus 2008. Whatever technique this
programme is using to get onto peoples machines, it's a damn successful one.
I have found the updated smitfraudfix to do a darn good job of automating
the removal of many aspects of this monster. It automates the repair of the
start menu (specifically the policy restriction the removes the control
panel, run command, all programs, my computer) disabled task manager.
