Yes, use the ATF-Cleaner to do it. Save it to the desktop

Click on ATF-Cleaner to run it
-- Where it says Select Files To Delete, Check the Select All Option
-- Click Empty Selected > OK

If you use Firefox browser, do this also:
    • Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All from the list.
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
    • NOTE : If you would like to keep your saved passwords, click No at the prompt.

You have 128 MB of physical ram, default minimum page file will be 1.5 times this, if some system files are paged, they may become unusable durring the automatic page file resize opperation when you run out of virtual memory.. That looks like what caused the error report on your application, and probly what is causing the application must close error. When that app/dll can't find the stuff it had put in memory before, due to the addresses change, it freaks out

You can use task manager to monitor application memory usage to find out which applicaiton is filling ram, this applicaiton may have a memory leak, however, it's not uncommon for apps to use tons of memory, especially with the windows OS!

You want to watch the list of applications or "processes" for the one that consumes an ever increasing number of kilobytes over time.. If you see one of these, the best recommendation is, Identify the application, look for an alternative, stop using it and/or contact that applications author for support/updates related to memory leaks with your opperating system windows 2000 sp4.

You don't have enough system ram, "although windows 2000 can run on 32 megs of ram, or even 128 megs of ram" it requires alot of page file activity "virtual random access memory" for other applications to run etc..

Your minimum default virtual memory is too low.

Adding too much page file may cause your system to fill address space in physical ram to keep track of virtual memory address space.... Try starting conservatively, say 1024 MB minimum AND maximum page file size. This will create a fixed page file size to prevent the virtual memory automatic resize, and prevent your hard drive from becoming fragmented. If it's not enough virtual memory, the application will not start, and windows will tell you that you don't have enough memory.

You can also upgrade the total system memory from 128MB to 512MB, or 1024MB ~"1 GB" Upgrading system ram will be the most effective remedy.

If you want to upgrade ram, provide the manufacture make and model of your computer, "appears to be a dell, something or other" Then we can look it up and see how much memory it can take

Maybe wait untill you get the virtual memory error to check which application has the most amount of memory consumed via task manager before changing any memory settings...

well, thats a lot for a low tech red neck to absorbe. had to read it three times. so my computer is getting old,and loosing its memory. oldtimers disease. i went to task manager, and looked around. there is a lot of stuff there. how do i know what i can dump and what i can't, without having to go to a computer class at the local college. is there settings, for the cleansing of applications/programs that are not being used? and thak you very much for your time and effort. basicly holding my hand thru is. i really appreciate it.

No problem, not looking for what you can or can't dump just yet. Trying to focus on what is causing the error.

Just tell me which one of those files is using the most memory, and how much memory it's using at the time of the error.

Use task manager to view the applications or processes to find which one is listed as using the most amount of ram, if there's more than one listed using most, or very close, to 6 figures, say over 50,000 KB or over 100,000KB .. list em here!

You can open task manager by pressing CTRL ALT and DEL all at the same time, it should bring up the log-on/off screen with "task manager" as an option or maybe it loads task manager directly?? It's been a while since I've had to do this.. Anyway from either applications or processes tab, you get a list of stuff currently running, with the option to kill a process.. Not interested in killing anything yet. Just pay attention to the amount of memory each process is using in the info shown to the right of the file name..
Also start this up the next time you restart your computer and watch it over time to see which application is growing and growing, if it's a leaky program causing the errors, it will use more and more Kilobytes of memory over time.

From the error logs that you have already provided, it looks as though your anti-virus application mailfilter is having a fit, there's some record of "anti-virus" programs having fits with 2000 sp4

after some reading, and not liking what I'm finding, I'd recommend finding an alternative "scanner/mail filter or spamblocker" than this pareto thing "Pareto_SC.exe"

i will **** can the spam mailer.is it the hole p-logic system, i mean i have two one for mail and the other for the computer, a cleaner. i sat for 15 minutes and stared at the graph. it read 2%,3% 4%, 3%,2%,3%,4%,3% like that it had a huge spike when i first got there. i guess that was me getting there.. explorer internet seems to be a steady drain. when i was opening my browser page upon start up,with a blank screen, thepop up for memory pops up,saying it is trying to make more memory, but nothing going on
weird pc what will it cost me to up the ram? should i just can this bird and get a new
    what we gonna do?
