Thanks for the quick reply...after posting last night i shut the computer down...got up this morning and started it up and it was still there...don't know what made me think of this but i changed the monitor resolution from movie setting to game setting and it went away... (maybe some new glitch in the monitor?)...will see if it stays gone and if not i'll let you know in case this happens to anyone else, (oh by the way it's a sony monitor)...Thanks again...drivermwm
