Spybot Search & Destroy Messed Me Up

I now use Sandboxie, so have no need for Spybot. I uninstalled it through
the Add/Remove in the Control Panel. And it wiped out my .ink files. Every
time I restart my computer I get the messages Cannot find Adobe Reader .ink,
Cannot find Windows Desktop .ink, and Cannot find Microsoft Office .ink. I
uninstalled Adobe, and Office, reinstalled, but that did no good.
I reinstalled Spybot S&D again and the messages went away. Spybot put the
..ink files back. So I know it is the one removing them. I contacted Spybot
S&D with the problem, which did no good. If I uninstall it again, is there
a web site that I can find and download these .ink files, or do I have to
live with Spybot the rest of my life?

I was mistaken, that is a .lnk (Link) file instead of ink (ink) file. Sorry
    for the mix up.

It looks as if I'm stuck with Spybot. No one in the world seems to have an
answer. Not even the Spybot team.

That sucks. I take it you posted in the forums and no one responded yet
with any kind of answer. Perhaps you should keep checking the thread. I
have never heard of anyone having the problem your having. You should
look into some type of imaging software so that when things go wrong,
you can do a restore from a clean image.

I tried the Spybot form you suggested, and no luck there. Not even a hint
of what to do. I thought at least someone from Spybot would answer, or try
to help figure this out. It's a bummer. One thing for sure, if I ever do
get it out, it's never going back in. Thanks for the forum link
