    SuperAntiSpyware

Anyone else notice that they are even updating their defs on weekends ,
    occcasionally?

Is there anyone out there that has problems with SAS or thinks they have a
    superior antispyware program?
    Comments appreciated.
PS: Yes, I do use the paid version.

    Isn't that a good thing?

SAS is considered top-notch ware; What is your problem?

You could *add* the free versions of Spyware S&D and Ad-Aware.

I think the problem is your comprehension of the written word or
    understanding the question.

Problems, no. Superior, depends on your criteria. Might I recommend you
visit malwarebytes.org and download the antimalware program?

Did as you suggested and dl'd, installed, updated and ran the Malwarebyte's
    Anti-Malware program.

1)It found a homepage 'stealer', I can't remember the exact words , but it
was just SpyWareBlaster where I checked the option that the homepage in IE6
could not be changed from within the IE Tools Control Panel.

2)It also found a 'trojan downloader' in Acrobat 6, which I beileve was
    another false positive.
I checked the above 2 items with Norton and SAS and neither found a problem.

I will keep it for awhile and do a manual scan once every now and then.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with SAS and I was just trying to see how
    others liked and trusted it.

    Thanks

No real need to take my word specifically for it. Google around a bit,
checkout the recommended hijackthis forums so often posted. I won't waste
the readers time by bragging too much on mbam. I will also disclose that I
work for them, so my viewpoints on how good it is could be considered
    biased.

I didn't attack you in the first place, and I really don't care if you
personally find me credible or not. You have an opinion of me that isn't
going to change anytime soon; what I say and do doesn't matter.

    | I don't have any real information that would lead me to believe
    | malwarebytes is an inferior product, but I surely wouldn't take
    | Dustin's word for it. I find him to be less than credible because of
    | his continued association with the black hat side of the malware wars.
    | He claims to have his white hat on with the "bughunter" app, which I
    | can say I have never found any reason to believe is not legit, but
    | then he brags about associating with malware writers like it's some
    | sort of badge of honor. I find his fence sitting to be cowardly at
    | best.

    | P.S. Dustin, you are free (as always) to reply, but you are on
    | permanent killfile in my reader so it will only be for posterity if
    | you elect to attack me... again.

I hope you will rely on my word.

    MBAM is a superior product.
I also know many on the MBAM team.

Thanks for your opinion. I will keep the MalWareBytes' Anti-Malware Program
    and run it on demand.
