    Malware on wifes computer

First of all you guys are doing great work here. This site is excellent!

Now, the other day my wife clicked an email that had no subject on it and nothing was in it when see opened it. She now has a background that says Warning: Spyware threat has been detected on you PC
Your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity.

I went to your site and read what you need, but it seems as though the malware has disabled the taskmanager, and I can't do steps 6,8,9 as soon as the executables start the computer stops them, and for 9 i can now only go certain web sites here is the add and remove list and HJT log

    BleepingComputer's SDFix Instructions:
    1. Please print these instructions as they will be needed later when Internet access is not available.
    2. Logon to your computer with an account that has Administrator privileges.
    3. Download SDFix.exe from the following link and save it to your desktop:

SDFix Download LinkConfirm that the file SDFix.exe now resides on your desktop, but do not double-click on the icon as of yet. We will use it in later steps. The icon will look like the one below:

    4. Now, double-click on the SDFix icon that should now be residing on your desktop. If a Open File - Security Warning box opens, click on the Run button.
    5. A window will open asking where you would like to install SDFix to.

Do not change anything and press the Install button. This will install the program into the default location of C:\SDFix. At this point, you should not run SDFix, but instead continue to the next step where you will reboot into safe mode.
    6. Next, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:
      1. Restart your computer
      2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
      3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
      4. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
      5. When you are at the logon prompt, log in as the same user that you had performed the previous steps as.

    7. When your computer has started in safe mode, and you see the desktop, close all open Windows.
    8. Click on the Start button, click on the Run menu option, and type the following into the Open: field:

      C:\SDFix\RunThis.bat

      Then press the OK button.
    9. The SDFix window will open, as shown below, containing some brief info and a disclaimer on the use of the tool.

If you want to continue, please press the Y key on your keyboard and then press enter. Otherwise, you can press the N key to exit the program.
    10. SDFix will now start scanning your computer for known infections as seen in the image below.

This process can take a while, so you may want to do something else and periodically check back on the status of SDFix. As the scanning process continues you will continue to see new messages on the screen as shown in the figure below.

    11. When the scanning process has finished you will see a new screen stating that you need to restart your computer in order to continue.

At this point you should press any key on your computer's keyboard in order to restart the computer.
    12. When your computer reboots, you will be presented with a screen stating that SDFix has finished.

At this point you should press any key on your computer's keyboard in order to continue to your desktop.
    13. When you are back at your Windows desktop, the SDFix log will automatically be opened in notepad.

Review the log as necessary to see what was removed and then close the Notepad window.

Then run a new HJT Scan and post back with the SDFix log and the new HJT log.

I hope i didn't do anything wrong, because i downloaded combofix and it didn't run. So i tried something out and changed the name to just fix.exe thinking maybe the malware just is on the look out for certain programs names and it actually worked. It went through and did its thing and now i am running steps 6,8,9 and will post back with all the logs and a new hjt log. Sorry, if i am causing you more problems.

The combofix has removed a lot but I would like you to run both the Eset Scanner again and also update mbam and run it again.
This time though have BOTH programs fix everything found.
Save both logs again and then run HJT again and save that log. Post back with all three logs.

Did you place a checkmark in Accept Terms of Use? Are you using Internet Explorer? You have to use IE for the ESET Scanner.
Try to remove the ESET Online Scanner components from your computer, start the Add or Remove Programs (filename: APPWIZ.CPL) applet from Control Panel, select the ESET Online Scanner entry and click on Remove. A reboot may be required to complete uninstallation.
Then try to run it again.
If that doesn't work then use HouseCall.

I did everything the same as before when I ran the ESET and It didn't want to run. I also did what you said and it still just got stuck after the excepting of the agreement. I did run housecall, but I couldn't find a log to post, there was only one worm. Well, here is all the logs i have.
