    safer-networking.org

I can not access the web page for Spybot Search & Destroy?

    www.safer-networking.org/

I'm using a recent version of SeaMonkey and when I try to go to the
above web page the error is:

"The connection is refused when attempting to contact
    www.safer-networking.org"

I get a similar error when using IE.

I searched my HOSTS file and it's not listed there so I'm not sure what
    is going on?

I did notice that my HOSTS file has a second HOSTS file listed as
hosts.20080613-192117.backup which makes be wonder if one of my other
anti-spyware programs has changed my HOSTS file?

I use Ad-Aware SE Personal (with manual updates) a-squared Free, Avast!
Antivirus, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster and Super
    AntiSpyware Free.

Same here, multiple browsers. Apparently, the site is down, or the DNS
is screwed up. The domain name is paid through next June.

Perhaps. June 13th at 19:21 apparently.

You wouldn't need any of those if you .. (whoops, don't want to start an
    OS discussion here)

    That's a relief.

That sure would seem to be the date on the backup but I didn't run any
of my anti programs on that date?

Working on that. Old dog, new tricks. So far it's still beg, fetch and
    play dead.

OK, I can take it easy and try to figure out what program made the
    backup of my HOSTS file.

So it would seem from the other replies.

You seem to be new here?

I don't recall seeing a MS MVP named Laura in this newsgroup?

I'm not new, I am an MVP, and I am female. Please ignore the trolls who
    think I am somebody else.
