    managed to capture some lightning durring broad daylight

    Atleast you know it's not easy I have about 200 shots of just the clouds and about 3 shots that have a flash in em LOL. The best time to get lightning shots is after dark, at night/early morning, when you can leave the shutter open longer

    Here it is I did cheat a bit to get it. There was lots of lightning that day on my way home from work. I did try just taking a pic but kept missing it. So I put my camera on video mode, set it on the dash, edited a snap out of the video when I got home and Voilą! ...............

    That must have been an intense storm. I've been considering a video camera for that kinda stuff.
