    My requirements are thus...

I don't mind paying a modest yearly fee. Here's what I am looking for...

    1. Binaries. I won't be downloading that much per month. Definitely less than
    200MB/month

    2. Allows obfuscating email address as I do here.

    3. Doesn't too aggressively block spam. I need to see the BS to find malware and
    malicious activity, etc.

    4. Does not append a NSP spam signature to every post.

I use Usenet.com for the above.

They provide 110K groups, they have plans for 2GB/mo to Unlimited, they
remove all identity, they don't block anything, and they offer a
different server address that doesn't append spam to your posts.

Downside - the server that doesn't append spam has a very short
disconnect time, so you have to reconnect from time to time, but I've
not found that to be an issue.

This is the problem. You might want to get an individual.net account and
then buy a block from octanews:

    http://www.octanews.com/pricing.php

    I don't do binaries, so I just don't know.

    > 2. Allows obfuscating email address as I do here.

    See above.

Well, there goes individual.net, I think. You might need to go to
    Altopia.

Me, I'm very happy with DataBasix, but I don't think it would suit your
specific needs, although you could discuss it with support and see what
can be worked out. DataBasix is pretty flexible, and if it's possible to
    accomodate you, it will.

Databasix used to filter out his email address because of his constant
spamming them with bogus abuse reports about me. They told me they warned
him if he didn't stop they would give me all of his info.

I seriously doubt Databasix would give you anything besides an account.
While I strongly dislike the fact you could get one, I understand the
reasoning and concepts behind the server.

I don't know how you evaded my filters, but you can be sure you're going
straight back into my killfile, dip****.

Also, I note that you are not posting from DataBasix now.

Yes, I have the same requirements/needs. So I'll be monitoring and
hoping someone knows of a decent one.
