    Personal Firewall

Can anybody recommend a "Personal Firewall" that's easy to use. For a gauge
Comodo was too complicated for me. I'd like something more along the lines
of the dearly departed Sygate Personal Firewall. Too bad Symantec gobbled
    them up and killed it.

I'd also love to have a recommendation on a firewall for Windows XP Pro x64
    if there is one.

Have a look at Online Armor - I've just dropped Comodo for it - and I
    am well pleased.

Zone alarm is about as simple as they come...I was using Comodo but went
back to ZoneAlarm when they added intrusion detection features that I
didn't want. I don't think it has an x64 version.

OK, thanks. I might be able to keep using the copy of Sygate I still have if
I can ever get this motherboard to load xp home. For some reason it won't,
but it will load xp pro x64. Sounds like a stupid windows trick to me.]

Sygate 5.6 b 2808 will run on XP. Don't know about the
    Pro x64 part

    Re: Personal Firewall

I have an older version, one of the last available, but it won't work with
xp pro x64 or at least it didnit for me. It acted like it installed but
wouldn't actually run. Or at least not correctly. It showed up as running in
process explorer but I couldn't get in touch with it since nothing showed up
    in the taskbar.

    Re: Personal Firewall

Thanks for the mention. I'm using it on a machine with XP Home, but kinda
pointless to run xp home on a triple core machine.
