An issue i had also, installing another paid for avg 8.0 suite, the firewall
is quite tricky to configure, it automatically scans the system for
programmes that should require internet access. The automatic system seems
to screw up permission rules for Outlook Express, it allows incoming email
by pop, but blocks smtp on port 25. I needed to change to an alternative
port to get email to work.
