    Need a transistor

not sure if this is where to put this thread, so admins feel free to move. first of all, miss me?

now enough Shenanigans. I am in need of a switchback npn transistor capable of handling 400V and 12amps. radio shack does not sell them. all the online sites i"ve seen sell them in mass quantities, but i only need one. so is this something i'd be able to find on an old dead MB or CRT monitor? i have both. If its not a salvageable part, then would anyone know where it is i can buy just one? thanks kids.

by the way thats cool ^

good luck on that as a single part, my brothers buddy used to wrap litz toriods for an amplifier company, I'll see if he can get ahold of him and find out what he can get. Any idea if it's also known as a bridge rectifier?
