Thx for the reply, don't laugh, lol!!! Intel PII300 abit motherboard SICI card XP Pro, built this machine back in 97, lol.
300Mhz processor's gonna be a dog for pretty much anything you do on that machine, windows xp will help things go a little faster due to better memory managment but you still need to have the minimum recommended hardware/memory/free drive space, in order to get the most out of it.. What is a SICI card?

The front load card reader I got in 98 i think, the new on i just got last week, an off brand and it attaches to a pci slot and is a rear slot entry.
Still not enough info about the parts/make model etc to gather specific technical info such as max throughput/bus limmitations etc.. From a standards point of view, a pci card bus adapter will probly support 32bit transfers, which will be a little faster than the old 16bit transfer rate. The adapter/daughter card will have to support 32bit transfers though.

I know i need to build a new machine so i can play ut3 with out lag.
This is a whole new subject, however, if you need help with recommendations for the system /budget, hardware performance etc.. We can look into that as well.

i'm guessing its the mb. I do have a 2.0 card in a pci slot as well and it works at that speed.
Is that USB 2.0 or pc-card II?

Thank you
You're welcome.
