    What is this program? Oi

    I also notice you have AT&T Internet Security also running on the system...what is included with this program?
    According to all I have found it contains an anti-virus program, a firewall and anti-spy software. If this is the case then you are running TWO of everything...that is ONE too many for anti-virus and firewall for sure. Plus you are also running Spybot, Spyware Guard, SUPERAntiSpyware...entirely too much, including the AT&T Security.

    You are also running BigFix
    BigFix can automatically download and read technical support information provided by computer and software manufacturers and other technical support experts (published in the form of Fixlet® Messages) and can automatically check your computer for bugs, configuration conflicts, and security holes. Should only be started manually as it's a resource hog

    Your Java program is also way out of date. Newest version is Version 6 update 6.
    Go HERE to download the latest version. Choose the OFFLINE install and save it to the desktop.
    Once the program has downloaded then go to Add/Remove and uninstall ALL previous versions. When all are uninstalled then double click the new version on the desktop and install. Reboot the computer.
    Then go HERE to verify the installation.

    Oi is a calendar pop-up reminder. Great program from Sean O'Conner's game page. Entirely safe.

    ATT is my internet provider. Also safe. I'm not running Spybot; it's just in the computer to manually double check my Superantiware which does run all the time. Spyware Guard is something I was testing...haven't seen it do much anyway. Will take it out and turn off Big Fix. It came with the new computer and so far I haven't noticed it being hoggish. Will check.

    Will also update java...

    Thanks for checking things. Glad you didn't find any malware!

    Dixie, I realized that AT&T was very likely your Internet Provider, but you ARE running at least portions of their Internet Security Suite. It shows in your log as running in the background;

    C:\Program Files\AT&T\Internet Security Wizard\ISW.exe
    AND it is set to Auto Start when the computer boots up;
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ISW.exe] "C:\Program Files\AT&T\Internet Security Wizard\ISW.exe" /AUTORUN

    AT&T Internet Security Wizard (formerly Alert Manager) is used to download AT&T Internet Security SuiteSM (formerly BellSouth Premium Internet Security) and to alert users about any potential security threats.
    Spybot's SDHelper/ Immunize is also running on the computer.

    By the way, I do not see a firewall running. Do you use the built-in Windows Firewall? If so, that is fine, that is what I use but it never shows in HJT logs.

    Firewall, yes.

    So, I should delete AT&T Scurity Wizard from HJT? I don't see it in msconfig startup and I don't know how to turn it off. I did stop Spybot's Immunization last night.

    No, don't delete it from HJT. You are going to have to locate the program itself...I would first look in Add/Remove and if you find it there Uninstall it. If you don't find it there then go to the containing folder which is
    C:\Program Files\AT&T\
    See if it is in there and if there is an uninstall option there. You will be looking for the Internet Security Wizard folder Within the At&T folder.
    It is never advisable to disable auto starts via msconfig. This should really be considered a troubleshooting method. A better way to stop auto starts is first via the program itself, if this isn't an option then use a program like Mike Lin's StartUpControl Panel, which is FREE, small, doesn't run in the background and very easy to use. Another good one is CodeStuffStarter which will show you ALL autostarts, even those in Services. It will also show processes running in the background and what various files are connected to.

    Go ahead and re-enable the Spybot Immunize. This is a very good program so go ahead and let it run, I didn't mean for you to turn it off. The others, let them go.
