It shouldn't be. If it's a required pin you wouldn't have even gotten a post beep code. It could be a bad motherboard also.

Try this:

Unplug EVERYTHING, HDD, CD-ROMS, anything else that is plugged in. Leave the CPU, RAM, Vid Card, and all power connectors plugged in (except for the parts mentioned first). Boot. What error code(s) do you get, if any?

It's the same, PSU fan doesn't start spinning, CPU fan doesnt start spinning and I get the long continuous beep.

How about without the video card?

Thinking more on this, it might be possible that the motherboard itself is bad.

No sound without video card but doesnt boot up either.

Yeah, I'm going to have to say, after doing some investigation and talking with fellow geeks, it really sounds like the mobo is bad. You may want to RMA it if nobody has any other ideas.

I know. I hate that. I've had quite a few mobos do that to me. So now I only use a big brand, such as Asus/Abit, or something of the likes.

I noticed that you mentioned you don't know if there's additional plugs for the motherboard. It's there, it's a four pin 12 volt power tap from the PSU, two black wires, two yellow, the plug for this is shown in the motherboard manual, it's the square power socket above the cpu socket, ensure that it is plugged in. Also make sure that the graphics card is seated all the way in, with the PCI-E power tap from the Power supply plugged into the graphics card. If your PSU has the 6 pin PCI-E power plug, use it instead of the adapter that may have been included with the graphics card, shown in the pic

Hey thanks for the help, Gizmokid2005 and cauzomb. I've tested out the pc with my old PSU and found out that its really the PSU that's not working. I'm planning to send it back tomorrow. Wish me luck, and thanks for all the help!
