    Silj,

I know you are very experienced in these matters concerning adware n
stuff and I much appreciate your update reminders.

But can you tell me this: Is there any end in sight whereby we will not
have to continually update the likes of Spywareblaster, Adaware and
Spybot S&D as it always seems to me that we are fighting a rearguard
action to protect ourselves? Are there no other software solutions on
the horizon that would negate the needs for updates of this kind?

In the main, I use Opera as my default browser, which I think is
relatively safe at the moment(?) but not all pages render correctly on
this and so I also use Firefox and, if I'm desperate, then IE. So I
    continue with the updates.

I apologise if my questions seem dumb, but I ask all the same.

    Yours kindly,
    Ed

Ed, third party software is your best bet in fighting Spyware.

    No. No end in sight.
