My 2 cents on the removal of the nagscreen,

I don't think it's kind of you or anyone else to intentionally alter a
program if the creator didn't specifically specify you should do so.
These programs that have nagscreens usually don't cost much to legally
remove it, by registering the application. That small fee helps to cover
the cost of development and research.

This only applies to companies that don't like you to do this, obviously
after visiting the url mentioned, it seems the company is cool with this,
so exc'use me for butting in.

I installed Avira AntiVir on a friends computer, and it's not a nag
screen, it's friggin adware. Pops up after a update.

I guess for free, it's just a minor inconvenience to click the ad away
after an update.

The AVG antispyware is free after the 30 day trial expires. Then you have
check to see if you need to update it yourself. I don't mind paying a few
dollars for it to automatically update, because it does that 3 or 4 times a
day. I really rather keep it, because I know it's compatible with the AVG
anti-virus ver. 7.5.
It appears there may be a few problems with AVG 8.0 for some people which
AVG antispyware is packaged with, and I don't need those to contend with.
