Thread: MoBo Woe?

    It wasn't the ribbon cable, it was the power tap. But in these past couple of days, I've still had some issues with the power dropping to 4.6v on the 5v side & the system freezes. I'm going to be getting a new psu for the system. *sigh*

    That is what my recommendation would be, especially since you already replaced the mobo, then PSU should be the culprit not the floppy drive (have you even tried another floppy drive to make sure?).

    I thought since I was here posting yet another problem, I'd take the time to close this one out. It did turn out to be the power supply. I ditched the floppy drive in my new configuration. I went with a Generation II Viotek commercial grade 550W. No troubles ever since (with that, anyway).
