What sort of problems did you have and what OS are you using?
I had a clean uninstall when I had the free version. I had installed it
under "Total Uninstall" and just used Add-Remove to remove the program and
then I used Total Uninstall to see what was left and it was basically
nothing. I am using Win2000Pro.

I'm also using W2K Pro.

I don't remember the exact problem, I just remember that I kept
getting some kind of error and it wouldn't uninstall. And when I
finally did get it removed, I still had a desktop icon that I couldn't
delete. I had to use some kind of tool to remove that.

I now stay far, far away from SAS.

I've been using both the free and pro versions on a couple of dozen
different systems over the last year or two and have never run into any
problems with uninstalling it. As far as I can see, your problem(s) appear
to be the exception rather than the rule.

Bummer. No way to duplicate the issue, no way to fix it should it ever
come up again. Although your the first/only person I've heard of so far
with this specific issue.

I'm not missing out on anything. There are plenty of free programs out
there that will get the job done, and I'm using Spy Sweeper.....so all
is good

And those other programs, show up in the add/remove!

It basically tells you to go to the install program and then select 'remove'
when the option comes up.
Shutting down other running programs and exiting the program first before
you uninstall it and then uninstall it.
Did SAS not appear in you Add-Remove list?
I did notice that it tells you to reboot immediately after doing the
uninstall, which I routinely do anyways after installing or uninstalling a
