    SuperAntiSpyware

    Does anyone here use it?
I would like to hear the good and the bad about it.
I use the paid version and I am happy with it.
They just recently upgraded their program and now it is much faster in scan
time, than before, which was slower than many others.
The free version works like the paid version with the exception of automatic
    updating and real-time protection, AFAIK.
The free version is on-demand only but just as powerful as removing the
    adware,spyware,etc as the paid version.

If you select "start with windows", the free version will auto-update
itself. I do not have that option checked because of limited RAM on
the machine I am using (an old Compaq laptop, 160mb RAM). BTW it uses
    about 35mb.

You bought it and *now* you want opinions on it? Uh huh. Looks like
a lame stab at hiding spam in a question.

I am happy with free version.
IMHO its one of the best free anti-spyware with a remover, at least
    for me.

Not at all. I am just looking for other's opinions. I also use
    SpyWareBlaster.
When I used the free version of SAS, it found a couple of items (not just
    cookies) and fixed the problem.
I figured it was worth paying the owner for.

    Thanks for your reply.
Check to see if you have the latest version 4.0.1154 as it only uses about
250kb, way down from the 40MB that the older version seemed to. At least
that is what it shows in my Win2000 Task Manager.

You never had a problem removing SAS from your computer?

Took all kind of tools for me to get rid of it. (the last free
    version -whatever that was).

    Not that I recall

The only removal tool I use is format. Since I use PortableApps for
almost everything these days, when I have installed and uninstalled
many programs to my hard drive, I just start over. Takes much less
time than trying a bunch of cleaning tools.
