    Stupid Spybot Question

I recently upgraded Spybot S&D from 1.4 to 1.5.2, as prompted when I did a
"Search for Updates" within v. 1.4

    I kept the v. 1.4 files in
    Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy
    and installed v. 1.5.2 in
    Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 1_5_2
using the option in the install wizard.

Now, every time I start the computer, the Spybot directory opens on my
desktop -- the original, not 1_5_2.

    (A) is this an indication of an actual problem? or just a nuisance.

    (B) I can't figure out where this is happening -- any idea how to get rid of
the nuisance factor? It's been a while since I messed with my startup.

Possible additional factor -- The original installation of 1.5.2 placed the
install .exe file on my desktop (and changed my original shortcut icon from
1.4 to 1.5.2). I mistakently assumed that the new desktop icon was the new
Spybot, and re-installed it once or twice before figuring this out :-).

Remove BOTH versions. Reinstall ONLY v1.5.2

    Thanks. That worked.
I guess that's kind of the software equivalent of "make sure the wires are
    connected" :-)
I'll try to make it part of my repertoire.
