    Louiex,
if you are wanting FREE current music then there really are no places with LEGAL or what can be considered SAFE downloads. It would all have to be done via P2P downloading and as we stated this is not something we support or condone and therefore do not offer assistance or guidance in doing. AND as stated before this is a super way to end up with infections on the computer. This IS covered in our Forum Guidelines:
Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
For "Golden Oldies" or some classics, there are some, hard to find at times, but some.

No P2P does not mean "pay to play" (actually if it had anything to do with payment it would be called NP2P "NOT PAYING to PLAY) P2P means Peer-to-Peer....meaning person to person, which is why it is not considered safe...who is this "peer" who is offering a copy of a normally $1 per copy song FREE, and how & where did this "peer" get it free in the first place and what else is he giving you for FREE just so you can save a buck? Hopefully not something that will cause irreparable damage to the files on your $500+ computer. But of course you did save $1...
Sorry, but we have seen so much file damage caused by this type of activity that it is hard not to get sarcastic about it.

One has to use a program in order to use P2P and Limewire is just one of many programs which gives one the capability of P2P. We don't recommend or give unstructions for use of ANY of them here.
