    Go in and manually delete C:\VundoFix Backups. As long as you know what the DomandDanRadio program is then that is fine. Also remove the combofix this way;
Go to Start > Run and copy and paste next command in the field:

    ComboFix /u
Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
    Then hit Enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again

    Check, and check.

    Am I safe now?
    I don't see any symptoms...

Do you need any more scans/logs?

I thank you SOOOOOO much for all you've done. But I want to make sure I am 100% safe on here before I insert that big crowd of colorful smileys...

Also, if I am safe now, I know you guys make a lot of recommendations for safety (prevention)... But which combination of which products do you think is the BEST setup to have (and for my situation, least resource-using).

    Thanks.

    ***********

Sidenote: I don't THINK this is related...but it is quite peculiar that this happened within a day of all these symptoms happening...
Could a virus (like the one I got, but also any other you might know of) permanently screw up my MONITOR? It's an older monitor (6 years). But I've never had problems with it at all before, and now all of a sudden, It goes super blurry (with horizontal blurry, sometimes shakey) distortion lines all over the screen from top to bottom. It usually starts in the center, then spreads to the top and bottom within seconds. It gets to the point where the screen is so blurry/distorted, that it's unreadable.

The reason I think it's coincadental:
It seems hardware-based, since it recovers every time I turn off the monitor for a while. It seems the longer I let it sit, the longer it will stay good until it happens again (anywhere from a single minute or so to 15 minutes).

The reason I think it might be virus-caused:
It seems like software issues might be involved...Alternatively from turning off the monitor and waiting a while, I can also just change the resolution (to any randomly selected setting, although the extremes seem to work the best) in the PROPERTIES/SETTINGS area by right-clicking my desktop, and the screen clarity will instantly recover...again, lasting anywhere from 1-15 minutes until I have to do it again.

    Any thoughts??

    THANKS!

First of all really sounds to me like your monitor is probably on it's last legs...considering it's age and the fact that you can somewhat refresh by turning it off and letting it rest. Doubt that it is virus related, honestly don't know that I have heard of a virus which affects the monitor.
As for safety set ups the ones given here by PhilliePhan are what we all recommend and pretty much follow.
To save resources I would go with obviously a virus program...AVG works well for me and others I have worked with but any of the three he notes are good.
Anti-spy programs...Spybot is #1, Window Defender is good too. A real MUST is SpywareBlaster...AND it DOES NOT run in the background so there is NO resource usage.

From what I could see, yes it appears to be clean. Be sure to add an anti-virus program.
