Hello again Judy.
Yesterday I uninstalled Norton/symantec,and installed the programs I used in the past(AVG & zonealarm).Before installation of these programs I deleted all files associating with the old antivirus and firewall programs(yes I enabled viewing of hidden files).The problem I am having,is that shutdown now lags something fierce to the point that I almost wonder if the system will shut down.My last attempt to search any remnants,to see if there was anything conflicting with zonealarm,ended with a shutdown that took 17 minutes.I will post any logs if so advised,when time permits.I realize that your time is limited and I will try to get back in either tomorrow or Thursday.If one of the other admins has a trick or two up their sleeve for me to try,any suggestion would be appreciated.As for the system resources that are always asked for.
