AdAware starts slowly now!

When the new version of SPYBOT came out a few weeks ago, I had a problem
with it taking so long to start up each time I ran it. Someone here pointed
me to a "patch" that fixed the problem, and a newer version of SPYBOT has
been released that apparently contains the patch, so all is well with
SPYBOT...

About the same time, a new version of Lavasoft's ADAWARE was released. It
seemed to be OK, but just the other day they forced a new download on me,
and now that program is taking an unusually long time to start up! Anybody
else having the same problem? Any fix?

Also, right after the new ADAWARE install, I got a little popup advertising
some free service with an order for roses for valentines day... What's with
that? An Anti-Adware program that provides its own adware???

may have spoken too soon... I un-installed what I had, downloaded the 7026
version again, re-installed it, got the updates, and now the program seems
to start up a little faster, although still seems longer than necessary...
no hard drive activity or internet activity while it just sits there. But
better....

Do you use Ad-Aware 2007 ver. 7.0.2.6?
The reason I'm asking is because it also starts up slower.
I uninstalled in an reinstalled it again but the same happens.

Do you have this problem also?

yes, I'm running the newest version of 7026, and it takes FOREVER to start
up!... very much like SPYBOT did before I found the patch for that
program!... It may be better, but I liked the old version!....
