Unable to install Ad-aware 2007

Hi folks, I have a Dell Pentium D with XP Windows, that I've had for
about a year and a half.

I downloaded Ad-aware 2007 and followed the instructions.
But only seconds into the installation, it stops and give me and
"Error 1722".

I have no idea what that is, and why it stopped the installation.
Is is a problem with XP?
I hope someone can help me here.

Hal try this:
This problem relates to the MSI installer from Microsoft; it is associated
with either an outdated or corrupt Windows Installer or with permission for
Windows Script Hosting (WSH).
First of all, download the latest version of Ad-Aware from the Support
Center or https://secure.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php and
reinstall. You may also update the software from the 'Web Update' menu in
Ad-Aware 2007. Click the 'Update' button to connect to the update server and
download the updates. Restart Ad-Aware and Ad-Watch to activate the changes.

Thanks, Bob, I downloaded the latest Windows Installer, per the
instructions, then tried Ad-Aware 2007 again.

Unfortunately, I still get the same error message, "Error 1722".
Is there anything else I can do?

Install Windows Install Cleanup, Remove the AdAware install programs and
then reinstall AdAware...

1.installed Cleanup
2.removed install programs
3.attempted to reinstall AdAware

I still get the Error 1772 message..... <argh>
