SyBot S&D and automating signature file downloads

You don't have to rely on posts such as "SpyBot Definition Update..."

You can automate the download of SpyBot signature automatically without having SpyBot S&D
running all the time.

Just go to; Control Panel --> Scheduled Tasks

Add a new scheduled task using the following command line..

"C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" /autoupdate /autoclose

Schedule the task to run whenever you'd like. Just apply an an administrative account and
password.

If you prefer to manually get updates you can create a Shortcut on your desktop with the
above command line.

Thanks for the heads up on automating the download.

But when i go to Control Panel, I don't see Scheduled Tasks .

I guess that is because I'm with Windows 98SE ??

In which case , me personally, I do appreciate the update alerts.

In my Windows 98SE, Scheduled Tasks is in "Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Scheduled Tasks."
