    Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE

I have tried the manual update which did not work for me. I think Lavasoft
has dis-continued the "Free" Home Edition. I have gone to their web
sites, downloaded the "free" home edition, and it runs a scan showing me
anywhere from 1 to over 100 infections in every category of my files. Then
it wants to "sell" me a registration key to clean up my files.
Anyone else had this experience? I'm doing searches on my browser for
Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE, and getting the above on each web site I try.

Thanks Don. I had found it, but just had not replied back here yet. I was
looking for a 2008 edition. I like their newer version much better.
    Thanks for the assist.

I am still running with Ad-Aware SE because the later version, Ad-Aware
2007, is not supported under Windows 98.

And I have just installed the latest definition file this morning from:

    http://www.lavasoft.com/support/securitycenter/blog/

Just click the button on the right hand side of the screen to download
the zip file. Open the zip file and extract the defs.ref file to your
Ad-Aware SE Personal directory to replace the existing defs.ref file.
