Windows 98SE

Does anyone still make an anti-virus/anti-spyware that still updates and
still works for Windows 98? McAfee and AVG both stopped updating for 98.

ClamWin seems to be it. Since Microsoft no longer supports 9x most AVs
are not including 9x in their updates. You may need to consider
switching to another OS.

Avast anti-virus says it supports 98:

Scroll down the page to PLATFORMS and it has Windows 98. And it's free
for home use!

I can't find what a-squared free supports but maybe you can:

Strange. I have 98SE and have Superantispyware and AVG (new
download) operating properly. AVG had automatic download of update
about 20 minutes ago.

I use both 98SE and ME and can update AVG on both with no problems.

Maybe you need to update the program itself.
