DrWatson Postmortem

Hi,

I have read a couple of helps from different website in regards to DrWatson Postmortem Debugger. Apparently, some sites say they are virus but some do so I am not sure whether I have virus/spywares in my computer. I scanned my computer using Norton Online Scanner but find nothing. I used Spybot to scan for spywares but also find nothing. What i do know is that, my computer freezes whenever that DrWatson Postmortem message pops up. I have to force the program to close it by going to Windows Task Manager in order to unfreeze the computer. Can you have a look at my log to see whether my computer is in a bad shape? Exactly what are you doing when the message pops up? In other words what program are you using before this happens?

You actually should go here
Follow ALL the steps given there. Save any scan logs requested, allow all scans to fix whatever found, if they give the option. Once you have completed all those steps then run a NEW HJT scan and then come back here with the requested logs.

One thing you must do BEFORE doing all the above steps is to TURN OFF the SpyBot TeaTimer. It can interfere with both scans and any fixes.

The message is "Dr. Watson Post Mortem Debugger Has Encountered A Problem And Needs To Close". This message pops up randomly so I am not sure what or which program causes such error msg. Thanks. You know you have a LOT of unnecessary start items and because of this you have a LOT of items running all the time in the background. It could very well be one of these that you don't need running all the time that could be triggering this DrWatson problem. You might consider disabling some of these auto starts, many of which can easily be run manually, to see if this helps too. If nothing else it should speed the system some because your resources won't be used by unnecessary items.
