It depends on what you mean by "merit." See below.

But wouldn't you agree that even a stopped clock is right twice a day?

That would be auk's choice of Dustin.

I voted for him (before I was disenfranchised) because he posted my
name, address and telephone number to alt. sex. He invited
people--anyone at all--to come to my home.

As I said, even a stopped clock can be right twice a day.

Dustin has a personality disorder and that makes him dangerous to anyone
    who trusts him.

Actually, the real reasons I won the awards is that I agreed with Mike
Cranston's position when he went head-to-head with the FNVW's main
squeeze over the idea that if it's not okay for a kook to do something,
it's not okay for a kookologist to do the same thing. Also, at nearly
the same time, I went head-to-head with Lionel Lauer over his poking of
a Formosa'd kook. There was another, similar incident that I can't
remember right now, as well as some related fallout, but those two
incidents were the impetus for what followed.

My reaction to Rick's accusation that I'm an "emotional abuser" just
gave them the leverage to take me on on an emotional rather than logical
level. I should have realized when I gave him a book on abusive behavior
to read, it was like lighting the fuse on a loaded cannon, but at the
time, I was in love, and I didn't understand what I was dealing with.
    Silly me.

The fact that I was also extremely ill made it easy for certain aukers
to use me as a chew toy.

It appears that you got the "last laugh" since Lional and Rick no longer
post here, or anywhere that I've seen.
