    Ad-Aware 2007

I've been using Ad-Aware SE for some years now under Windows 98 and it
seems to work fine apart from that I now have to do manual updates.

Apart from that, is there any advantage in moving on to the 2007
product. Does it run more efficiently or what?

Like you, I've been using Ad-Aware SE for many years and I'm not sure I
want to upgrade to Ad-Aware 2007 Free. In your case, I don't think you
    can upgrade.

    Operating Systems:
Windows Vista (32-bit), Windows XP (Home and Pro), Windows Server 2003,
    Windows 2000 (Pro and Server)

How do you do the manual updates?

I usually wait for the heads up message on updates that
siljaline@nospam.com sends out to this newsgroup. And in that he
quotes the url for those doing the manual update. I think the url is:

    http://www.lavasoft.com/support/securitycenter/blog/

Yes, I get a similar message too that says my defs are 730384 days out
    of date!!

I don't know how to deal with that problem.

    Maybe someone here can help?

Probably because we're manually updating? It still scans and works OK,
    right?
