Ok, done all of that, and ran a hjt just in case.

Notes (just in case any of this information is relevant):
    * After kaspersky had troubles disinfecting virut from it, (when i was disinfecting virut before), my computer now seems to have 'lost' msconfig.exe. Typing it into Run brings up a file not found, and 'Launch System Configuration Utility' in help and support does nothing. I finally found it with search, but I seem to have two copies; 'msconfig' and 'MsConfig'. Both seem to work, despite the fact I get an 'insuficient admin rights, log on to an admin profile' error whenever I click apply or ok.

*When the computer logged into safe mode, it brought up a profile choose screen, with a (previously non-existant) admin profile, and the normal 'Kitchen Computer' profile, which was previously the only profile, and used to have full admin rights. I chose the admin profile for running SDFix, but I still got a 'insuficient admin rights, log on to an admin profile' error when I used msconfig to return to normal boot mode.

When you get that Log on Screen in Safe Mode, which you always will even if you don't get it in Normal Mode Choose the Usual user...in your case Kitchen Computer. Use this for all fixes

Should I go back and do the SDfix scan again in the normal profile?

Yes, do that once more please. Then please go Here
Follow the steps IN ORDER there please, including the AVG Anti-spy program, the ATF-Cleaner, etc.
Come back with the requested logs and that second SDFix log.
Remember to log to the Kitchen Computer choice since this is the normal user.

After much discussion won permission to put the affected machne back on the internet, in order to update the virus definitions. Followed all of the intructions as given, but widows defender was unable to update... (error code something, no more info given) so i did a manual update, and that seemed to work fine.
The kaspersky scan found 220 infected files, all but about 25 of them were in system restore, so I flushed it as described in step 1. All but one of the remainder were in Qoobox quarantine (combobox?), when I ran avg it picked them all up, but when I clicked apply to all, the save report button greyed out, even though I'd followed all the other instructions fine, so I dont have the avg report. So, timeline goes:

    Sdfix (report attached)
    Kav online scanner (report attached)
    Flushed system restore
    ATF cleaner
    AVG (but no report)
    HJT (report attached)

(I had to convert the kavscan to .txt, so formatting may be wonky, also, scan interrupted by user was because it got stuck scanning a disk accidentally left in the drive.)

Cannot read that Kaspersky log because you have Word Wrap turned on.
