Everytime I open up either internet explorer or firefox, I get both internet explorer and firefox popup. At times they overwhelm the screen. Using hijack this i was able to remove winshow.exe and webbuying.exe processes that were causing some problems. I am still getting popups and I believe it is due to some processes such as: ctfmon .exe and ehtray .exe, among others. Note the space between the process name and the .exe. I noticed this because there seemed to be double of the process like ctfmon.exe and ctfmon .exe. Please let me know if these are what is causing the problem and if there is anything else in the log of note. As a sidenote. . . the processes with the space in the middle are also listed in the startup list log (perhaps this is why the popups keep coming back each time i restart my computer?).
