In Device Manager, which is the Motherboard?

How can I tell which Motherboard I have from the Device Manager? My friend has a new-to-her computer and I want to see what sort of motherboard it has.

Also, is there a certain limit to how much RAM a motherboard can hold? An older motherboard anyway?
The guy at Best Buys said it could only hold up to 256MB ram but it's not that much, I want to see if I can put more into it.
    Thanks for any advice.

EDIT: I think the motherboard is: HP PAVILION 8660C MERCURY G SYS BD
Anybody know a way to look up how much RAM it can hold? (Yes I know it's old)

EDIT AGAIN: I found a site that says 256 is the max, is there a way to pump in more or no?
