Best 360 Game?

I ended up with some extra cash a few months ago, so I sprung for a 360.
I'm too cheap to buy a lot of games (I always wait till they go way down in price) And I had my regular X Box games, But I wanted to get one new game.

I heard a lot of people say that Gears of War was the best X Box 360 game. Personally I'm not super impressed. I don't love the game play, I hate the grenade handling, and the whole game is grey. (I am constantly shooting my own people--they look the same as the bad guys)

The graphics are phenomenal, and it is a decent game... but I would have rather waited and paid $30 instead of the initial $70.

So what is the best game?

It's a matter of personal preference, you like shooters? crackdown is fun; adictive smashing, shooting, driving, jumping running etc.. No multi-player though, or very limmited with a 2 player co-op mode... COD is a good multi-player game. Gears of war is fun, but I HATE playing shooters on gamepads. I need high speed ultra accurate mouse support... Maybe post a little more info about what you like to play, and what you are looking for in a game..

i have a ps3 but i would say get some COD4, its a good play through on single player and gets you setup and comfy to go online, so much fun

depends if u have xbox live really,COD4 and gears are ok if u have because u will not get bored of jus playing campaign. if u do not have xbox live go for something like a sports game or elder scrolls.

Game of the year on the 360 so far in my opinion is The Darkness. I hope the game does well enough to warrant a sequal.

I played a little bit of GTA IV, COD4 and crackdown ~I like that one. I think a merger between crackdown and gears of war would be cool, get experience, abilities, keys to the theatre etc...
