new Spybot version?

I removed the old version and installed the new version when it appeared
about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and downloaded the updates... looks a little
different, but my question concerns how long it takes to start running...
about 1 1/2 minutes on my tower (3GHz), and similar or longer on other
systems I've updated... is this typical? Any particular reason? Just seems
like a long startup time before anything appears on the screen.....

I had the same problem and found this today in the freeware group

Takes about 15 seconds now for the startup bar to appear and then it
loads very quickly.

mine same. i assumed it was doing a prelim scan before opening
