Well after a very busy season at work I find the time to post my log for the new computer.Take as much time as you need Judy,as I may not get back in here to check on it until after Christmas,the way things are going.Have a great time at whatever you chose to do and if there are no witnesses,you did nothing wrong .

phoenix, don't see much on the log. I don't see a firewall running, where is that?
Some programs running at start which aren't necessary but other than that....
What problems are you having? Remember HJT is used to see problems like viruses, spyware, trojans, etc., not for general clean up. That really isn't what it looks for or even sees.
If you are having major problems since this is a new computer you should visit the manufacturers web site or talk to their tech people.

I am not having any problems.I said that I would post a log when I got everything set up the way that I wanted.As for the firewall,it is built into Norton,which I am going to run for the length of the trial and then delete.I will check into stopping some start-up programs at a later date,but that will come after I am more comfortable with Vista and have more time to look into things in depth.Thanks as always for your input and I will most likely chack back with you in the New Year.Have a great time at whatever events you have planned and a safe and happy holiday to all.
