as it said on top it was clean. It does not look "clean"....
I have no idea what you are referring to when you say it does not look clean...IT IS.
Absolutely nothing is showing in any of your logs that would tell me there is an infection on the machine.
The items showing as locked are perfectly normal. Many, if not most are system files and are in use at the time of the scan and therefore cannot be scanned. No AV is able to scan all files, some are locked by Windows and this is PERFECTLY normal. You CANNOT unlock them...you don't want to unlock them. They are locked for a reason and should be left alone.

You are also still running TeaTimer all the time...totally unnecessary part of this program.
iPOD service is running at start up also, totally unnecessary. MSN Messenger is running in the background also.

I just don't see any virus, trojan at all on the system, in any of the scans.

I don't see an anti-virus program on the machine OR a firewall. You must have both.
You WILL end up with them on the system if you don't install an anti-virus program and a firewall. If you don't want to install a firewall then use the built in Windows Firewall.

When you say the computer is slow....WHEN is it slow? All the time, when online...when? How are you connected to the internet?
Have you defragged the computer lately? Fragmented files will definitely slow a system down.
I see nothing that would indicate infection.

So all those locked items are ok? Phew, that's a relief! Odd that there is no Av listed on there, AVG is installed and has been since my last post or two. Is there an option I don't know about maybe? What firewall do you recommend? Should I re-install zone alarm?

The computer has been slow when multi-tasking (normal I think), slow when loading internet pages, very slow if more than one internet page is open, slow when using the online av scanner(s) (even if I am doing nothing else except using said scanner), as well as when running only one program (usually that one is guild wars and that often freezes the pc completely). It will say that the cpu is 100% in many cases, or it will just freeze and not do anything. When I look up processes I don't see anything out of the ordinary... (If I would even know anything if I saw it)

I have defragged about a week ago. My pc is connected to the net via a Lynksys router which is connected to shaw cable internet. How do I get rid of tea timer and stop msn from running in the backround? I thought I had already taken ipod off of startup. Is it called something else in the startup menu?

    startup list from easy cleaner:
    ava(TM) Platform SE 6 U3 C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run SunJavaUpdateSched "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe"
    LXCFCATS C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXCFtim e.dll HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run LXCFCATS rundll32 C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXCFtim e.dll,_RunDLLEntry@16
    Microsoft IntelliType Pro C:\Program Files\Microsoft Hardware\Keyboard\type32.exe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run IntelliType "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Hardware\Keyboard\type32.exe"
    Microsoft® Windows® Operating System C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run ctfmon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
    Realtek Sound Manager C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run SoundMan SOUNDMAN.EXE
    Spybot - Search & Destroy C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run SpybotSD TeaTimer C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe
    Windows Defender C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MicroSoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
If my pc is clean I am guessing that would indicate I need a better processor?

Thanks for responding so quickly, I was panicking after I saw all those red x's in kaspersky. I really appreciate it, especially with the holidays so close. Again I am sorry for being so inexperienced.

The AVG program you have installed is not an anti-virus program it is the AVG Anti-spy program a good program, keep it for scanning.
Click here to get AVG FREE

Many folks will advise something else, but I personally use the built in Windows Firewall and have had no problems. If you run a clean machine and are careful where you surf and DON'T do any P2P file sharing then I say go with it...it is all ready on there.
    need a better processor?
    ....No I don't think so...
Since your slowness problem comes with multi-taking, game playing the I would say your problem is definitely not enough RAM. You only have 512MB, not enough really. RAM is basically pretty cheap and an easy way to speed up the computer. Guild Wars appears to require a minimum of 256MB...half of what you have. That doesn't leave much for the "rest of the computer" to run on...graphics especially.

    Go to Crucial.Com
Do their online scan and they will tell you exactly how much you can add to the system, exactly what to buy. It is as easy as pie to install, open the case and plug it in. Crucial is probably one of the cheaper sites to purchase RAM on the net.

To stop unwanted Starting items I recommend Mike Lin's Start Up Control Panel. A neat little free program. Download and install. Takes a few seconds then you will find it in your Control Panel, listed as Start Up with a little Computer Icon. You can go in there and stop pretty much anything from running at start. Shut down the computer, restart and see if that helps. If you find something you stopped using the program doesn't work just right without running at start up then go back in and re-enable it's auto start. Reboot and it should be fine.
