Nah...why shorten the life of my hardware? I don't need the extra speed as is...it's plenty until I can't run my games where I want...then I might consider it...

Yeah, I mean each time you OC you shorten the life...if it runs to meet/exceed my expectations now, why worry about it?

You know why people do it? Cause they are getting something for free, meaning they paid for a 2.4GHz CPU but by running it at 3GHz, it is like they got a 3GHz CPU but they only paid for a 2.4GHz CPU.

People love getting the best out of their system, if you had a 10GHz CPU right now and the system was faster than your eyes/brain could process yet somehow there was a way to o/c it, some smacktards would still be o/c'ing it!

Despite how good of a cooling he might have, I doubt Star's system is any more stable than I am after a few hard drinks...

ROFL! I agree though. That's a LOT on that particular chip...but whatever tickles his fancy...

You have an Athlon XP running at what clock speed? 3.4 GHz? I call BS unless you're using Phase or LN2.

Eh...still not gonna OC. This thing is going to be around for a while....riiiiiiight...after the quad-core AMD's come out, I'll wind up with them when the price drops...oh well....I'm happy with what I've got...only thing I'd change is I'd add another gig of RAM.
