    Overclocking

I know there are a few of your overclockers in here. I am looking to get a little more performance out of my computer (see sig), and I don't want to mess anything up.

    My current overclock settings:

I would appreciate any and ALL input that anybody has. I'm really good with computers, but overclocking is new to me.

    Thanks!!

I didn't find alot of stuff on your bios in the a7 manual, basically use the auto-overclock feature and set the recovery panel to "automatically restore default settings" or previously working speed if that is an option. I did see their warning about going over 110% but what I don't see is where you can control your HTT separately from the memory/databus/expansionbus/ frequency's or if you can lock your agp/pci/memory saparate from the cpu ht/htt. If you could decrease your memory to 166/333ddr, then set your htt up much higher, so you acheive a higher CPU internal fsb, once you find your stable internal fsb lower it so that the cpu speed is approximately 30% lower than your max stable overclock then start increasing your memory fsb, this should have a side result in higher cpu speed but you need to test and retest your memory fsb on the way up to 400ddr You should get close to your first highest acheivable cpu htt/mult but because this is increasing both the processing power and the total memory bandwidth you will have higher performance over-all than just setting the htt.

If I knew how to take screenshots of my BIOS I'd show them to you, but I might catch you on AIM later and talk about it.

Any other comments/suggestions are still very welcome!

giving this anymore thought? I haven't been on AIM for a while.. If you have a digicam, take pictures of any frequency/cpu settings you have listed in your bios n post them here, if it looks stark, like x5/x10 and fsb only, then post a copy of your bios .bin and we can find out if there are any hidden settings.

I have looked, but not much. I am planning on upgrading my system here soon, so I won't have to worry about it. Besides I don't have a digicam to take pics from....but I'll let you know what happens..

What about your memory timings? And what about to overclock your video ? (use coolbits, or rivatuner final)

Yeah...NOT. I'm ok with everything running as warm as it is currently....if I wanted a space heater I'll go buy one
