Go here: http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=4 the Spybot forums
and look under the Beta. They've got fixes for the 1.5 version. One of
which is the A: drive issue. Several others handy fixes as well. You can
also just download the beta .17 version and get all the updates rather than
    updating individual files.

You know what Phil my offer still stands. My latest version of Remove-it
will fix that search issue but you have to trust me and don't listen to
those trolls who, by the way, know nothing about spyware, they are just here
to bash me. I mean think about it I've been writing and updating my spyware
removal software for 4 years now starting with version 1. How is it that 3
different people claim I stole their software when all 3 claim they are the
owner of my 1 software. The fact is they stole it from me and it was not
until I put theft traps in my software that they stopped and changed theirs.
You need Remove-it version 15.5 to fix that search issue you currently have
    ver 15.

Well, sonny, I just had an interesting few moments. Falling prey to my
own habitual curiosity, I renamed my Host file and paid a visit to your
Web page. Firstly, I'll say this, for a guy* who says he's a
programmer, you have one sloppily constructed Web page. If you can't use
simple HTML, I'm to believe you're a programmer?

Anyway, I took the bait and clicked on the link claiming to lead to your
resume' - but with my firewall opened and showing Block All Traffic as I
held my mouse poised over the setting, waiting for any nonsense to
happen. You didn't disappoint. No sooner had I clicked the link, a blank
page came up; the page name merely a sequence of numbers. At the same
time, something began trying to access my A: drive. Well, that's when I
hit the mouse button and bailed with my firewall's Block All Traffic.
But already my system tray had been screwed with and I lost my T Clock
and another two icons, including my Host Block Notifier icon.

To make a long story short, I immediately ran Kaspersky and Spybot.
Neither found any malware. But nice try, guy. However, if I do find
some funny things happening, I'll simply roll back with True Image.

Let this be a warning to anyone else who is new to this group and the
pcbutts issue: Stay away from his site and his malware.

I have a question though, there is an allegation that your software blocks
specific sites in the host file.

Is it true you have noahdfear in that list, or any other site offering
legitimate anti spyware products or help?

I ahve found smitfraudfix and smitrem extremely useful tools in removing
smitfraud related spyware, how does yours stand up to these?

    thanks

What?????? There is no link on my site to my resume or anything close. What
are you talking about? you must have clicked on or typed something else. My
Remove-it software is not even available by download. What are you talking
    about?

Are you talking about here http://pcbutts1-therealtruth.blogspot.com/ If so
that's my blog not my website. That is owned and operated by Google and I
have no control over what links go where because it is controlled by Google
but you are still wrong about what you posted. Explain please. As far as
Raid goes he is just a prick who thinks he is annoying. As far as my fellow
MVP's they put me in their host file because they don't like me. Most of
them treat people like a POS in the MS groups and I called them out on it.
They tried to shut me down and flooded my ISP with emails and when nothing
worked they put me in their hosts file. Turn around is fair play so I put
    them in mine.

Re: Problem with new Spybot 1.5

Siri, noahdfear, Dusbin kooks, mvps.org, Stuart Saunders, and mysteryfcm are
all blocked by my hosts file. Siri, noahdfear, and Stuart Saunders are in
there because they stole my software and accused me of stealing theirs. Siri
and noahdfear have since changed the format of theirs as such that it no
longer resembles mine like it did 3 years ago. The little ****er Stuart
Saunders still tries to copy mine. Dusbin kook, mysteryfcm and mvps.org are
in there because they are just idiots and mvps has me in their hosts file.
My software removes everything theirs does and I think mine is better and
faster, it certainly does more and has more features. They all work, we all
help in the same groups(under a different name) we all do regular updates we
all do it for free except I don't ask for donations like the others do, I
    don't need the money.

Phil, Nobody is disputing that the script offered by pcbutts may or may
not work, That's not the issue. The issue is that the script is known to
be stolen, it's not his. He's trying to take credit for work he did not
do. If it works, great, feel free to let us know. I have had pleasant
dealings with pcbutts before myself, I wasn't blacklisted for it, so I
don't see why you feel you would be. The *only* issue is the fact he is
stealing other peoples work and passing it off as his own.

Wow Phil. I only condemn pcbutts due to his need to steal other peoples
work. If your okay with a thief, that's alright with me. However, to
compare my actions to that of his is slightly unfair. I took full credit
for MY work; not that of other people.

I have since stopped writing malicious things, and you will find nothing
malicious authored by myself in going on 8 years now. So the idea that my
BugHunter scanner (which might even be able to help your stupid ass, but
I wouldn't want you to use it at this point anyway) is in any way or will
become in any way (it's going to turn 3 years old in a few months) is at
best, a very ignorant assumption to make.

    > That's about all I have to say on this subject. Since I don't know the
    > truth of this matter, I felt I owed you at least this much of an
    > explanation.

Phil, if you wish to know whats going on, a simple google search on
pcbutts will give you a nice helping. You don't owe him anything, he
didn't write the script he's offering.

Sad to see your hatred towards me for something I did nearly 8 years ago
is still there, but your okay with a thief. What an odd sense of
    moralistic values you must have.

He has me I believe noahdfear is on his list too. And a few other
    sites, yes.

It's not his, and actually, it does work for some infections; but I
repeat, it's not his script. Really, the script isn't the issue. the fact
it is NOT his is the issue.
