    Round 5: GET R DONE...

OK, so here's some more pics of the heat spreader with and without the retainer clip latched, and a little bit of redneckedness get r done type tom foolery; see pics below..

First pic shows how the socket's cpu retainer clip is tweaking the heatspreader, the reflection on the cpu's heatspreader follows the contours of the top of the heatspreader...clearly showing how the heatspreader is bending under the pressure of the retainer clip.

Second pic shows how the cpu heat spreader is supposed to look, the reflection on the top of the cpu shows a relatively flat/straight edge..

Third pic shows the cpu retainer clip removed and again, a nice flat straight reflection off the top of the cpu's heat spreader..

Fourth pic shows the get r done method of retaining the cpu in the socket without using the socket's retainer clip; this is for testing purposes only.. And it works.. no hangs, no bsod's and no game crashes back to windows.. Idle temps are normal, around 43c, load temps are around 54-56c, ambient is around 27-30c

I will revissit this with folow up pictures of the cpu/heatsink contact patch.. I'm certain it's better than it was before; due to the opperational results, but I want to show the difference between the contact patches with and without the retainer clip..
