I recently bought a new computer, it has good specs for the most part so i thought it best to get it along with "windows vista 64 bit home premium" Sadly however 64 bit vista has turned out to be a right pain in the ass regarding compatibility with alot of software i normally use at present, & i've decided to re-install my old windows XP until they get some patches sorted for Vista.
I'm just curious as to whether i have to go through the whole ordeal again of Reformatting my Harddrive (I did it a few times before & made rather stupid mistakes like reformatting the wrong harddrive [& thus deleting everything i intended to swap over]) then re-installing XP. Or if there is a way to swap from XP to vista while keeping everything on my PC that has been installed without having to go through the task of reformatting (Probably grasping for straws :P )Everything on my PC at the moment is compatible with XP, & though my comp has come with all the drivers necassary for everything it's quite an lengthy task
Cheers for any help, even if it does turn out my enquiry isn't logical or possible :P
