    MSN Virus /sigh

Here’s my problem: I woke up one morning, to find that my Mozilla Firefox “can’t establish the connection to the server at www.google.ca”. I then tried my Internet Explorer, and that worked. I tried a few sites, and most work, but some, such as www.hotmail.com, do work - but I cannot login to my e-mail account. In a similar manner, I cannot login to World of Warcraft, an online MMORPG (I only have this problem on this computer; I can login on any other computer). When inquiring, I found that my sister had been on MSN the night before, where she “clicked on a zip file from her friend that asked if ‘these pics are too hot for myspace’”... That’s all the information that I can squeeze out of her.

Please help! Kindly thanking you for any help you can provide,
    Dirk101

My add/remove programs did not have anything suspicious.
I enabled the viewing of hidden files.

Here are my reports after scans:

The Panda and other online scans didn't work for me. They would have trouble running the updates. Then again, ever since I got the virus, even Spybot and Ad-Aware and AVG can't update.

What version of Firefox are you using? What version of FlashPlayer? You Java is way out of date, which would be needed for playing most games. Current version is version 6 update 3

    Anti-Virus-Pro is considered a rogue anti-spy program...go to Add/Remove and Uninstall it.

There IS a legitimate program AVG Anti-Virus Pro v. 7.5 with AVG in the name, but what is showing in your log does not appear to be the same thing. Plus, if you are running Norton Anti-virus you wouldn't need or want a second one...only one anti-virus program to a computer.

You have entirely TOO many programs running automatically at start up...auto starts and services....50 items....way, way too many.

Go into AVG Anti-spy program and delete those quarantined files you don't need them.

Do those updates, and go here
Run at least two of the online scans noted there, let them fix whatever is found. Kaspersky will scan but will not fix but WILL produce a log which will note infections present. Do two of the others and THEN do a Kaspersky. Post back with any logs you receive from these programs, but especially the Kaspersky. If others don't produce a log please note the name of anything removed and it's location.
