ok, so he made the game more interesting and lied about it...

    is it really that bad?

think about how much more fun an all 'roid baseball league would be...

fact of the matter is that sports is an entertainment industry.
simple as that, they provide entertainment and those who choose to be entertained by it recompense the franchises with money.

i don't see any such holier-than-thou attitudes in other entertainment industries?
no one has had any issues with movies using actresses with face-lifts or breast augmentation.
nobody withholds award nominations from actors with hair plugs.
nobody complains when a musician uses an amplifier.

it quite simply is all about the money
if you want purity in sports then go out to the back yard and play
once you take it to the level of multi-million dollar business you can bet the millions will call the plays and any other notion will belong only in the mind of those paying to be entertained

actually, we complain if actresses dont have work done regularly...

    yes, it is entertainment.
just as 24 hour news is entertainment.

Were you ever taught about SPORTSMANSHIP! It's cheating... If I was golfing with you and constantly kicked my ball way closer to the hole what would you do to me?

it's a sport... not anything close to being like movies other than it entertains you.

and accountants should give up retractable - cartridge - type ballpoint pens and utilize quills and inkwells?

technology moves on and the world most often moves with it

understand, I do disapprove of the use of such performance enhancing drugs
the toll on the human body is heinous to say the least

however, in sports it is obvious that superior performance = dollars in increasing amounts

the incentive to use such modifications lies 100% squarely upon the fans as they are the ones supplying the almighty money here

don't be willing to pay for seeing your team win and just maybe things can go back to the purity you seek???

I don't see a way to undo what "fans" have created
franchises do all to well understand what makes the money machine tick

    performance

then when you get it, you don't like that either?

What amazes me is that athletes are stupid enough to try it. They always get caught anyway.

I just want to see justice served. I think that an example should be made of Bonds for young athletes and children in general, so the world knows that steroids and lying are unethical.
