Give us the exact model of sound card, driver version, etc. What is your operating system also?
How long does the driver "hold" before it disappears?
How are you installing the driver...download install? Download Save? or is it coming from a cd or floppy disk?

From all I can find the latest driver version is 5.12.01.3620
so if you are using v5.0 then maybe all you need is an updated driver.

How much RAM and how big is the hard drive? What else is running in the background when you get the errors?
