360 NAt prob (odd network setup)

right, i dont have a router of any kind, im running my 360 through my laptop by network cable, connect to live no problems, plays in matches on Live etc. but playing Halo3 i get problems joining games and saying my "NAT" is set to strict

my internet connection isnt your usual either, as i have no phone line in my house, i invested in a Tmobile web n Walk modem, basically just put a sim card in it, it dials. no cables, and away we go, 3.8mbps internet which is great.

is there any setting i need to change on my laptop to show my xbox the NAT isnt "strict", or is there no way i can change it?

all help would be great thanks

    shieldz.

That's an odd problem you have, shieldz. I would think that it has something to do with your network setup. I've never heard the NAT being strict on a general wireless setup. I almost wonder if it's an issue with Tmobile, but I'm not positive. Best of luck with your problem.

That is an odd configuration, it could be a security setting on the laptop. Sounds like you are using "connection sharing" on the laptop to share the connection with the xbox. Check out microsofts official site regarding connecting to xbox live; see if there is anything about using connection sharing to connect the xbox; also support.microsoft.com search for anything regarding connection sharing with an xbox. I don't think connection sharing has a "NAT" setting to fiddle with, but there are security/network settings you can change. Some of them aren't good as they might allow intrusions.
